The 6 Shooter
The initial idea for this car was
conceived in May 2000. I was going through
a divorce and was forced to sell my prized
Hemi Cuda. It was the most highly optioned
Hemi Cuda on the planet. You know this
story; however, I wanted the ultimate Cuda
to replace it. I had acquired a '70
Barracuda Convertible the year prior, but
the ex-wife didn't want that pile of junk.
In fact during the divorce proceedings,
she referred to it as a parts car. Little
did she know the plans I had for that
"pile of junk"?
Around that time, a client threw me the
keys to their GTS Viper to take for a
spin, you know, cheap therapy. However, I
didn't fit in it; I'm 6'8" tall. On that
day I came up with the idea to build the
baddest Cuda on the planet. I wanted to
combine the best of both worlds, the
timeless styling of a 1970 Cuda
Convertible with all of the modern
technology that an ACR Viper had to offer,
it has taken on a life of its own.
In the process of building this creation
my company, Time Machines, has added a
Paxton Supercharger and a killer Polk
Audio sound system. This car will have
650hp and 650ft/lbs of torque, and handle
like a modern day sports car.
You may have heard of Pro-Touring or
G-Machines out there. We have coined a new
term for our Pro-Touring type cars; we
call them T-Machines. The main difference
between our concept and everyone else's is
that we mate the chassis and body together
as one structure to get the ultimate
performance. We are currently doing
similar projects with a '69 Camaro
Convertible and a '57 Chevy Convertible.
We are using C-4 Corvette equipment in
those models.
